  • A Business Marketing Plan Is The Foundation Of The organisation :-

Just as any building needs a really good foundation, it is paramount that business appropriately understands the Category of their product as well as having a clear understanding of their target End User Client.

The Business Marketing Plan consists of several components, one which is important is that of :-

  • Channel Marketing

The particular route / channel that a company chooses to use to sell their product through will have a bearing on the price as well as by default defining ones end user client profile.

If one has no experience of marketing one is advised not to fall in love with their product and to focus their energy and attention on the End User who will be eventually using the Product and/or Service. Understanding how the people who will be using your product will put the business owner in a strong position to be able to further shape the product to meet the needs of the end user client.

Blogging is one area of using the internet that is misunderstood. Blogs are seperate and distinct from a ‘standard website, blogs are in nature dynamic with frequently changing content and is a vehicle that is used strategically to drive business and branding.

Small business owners have a great oppotunity to compete on a global stage by making use of their blog, the business owner must understand that they actually do not have to produce all of the content that appears on their blog [even though I write all (I have one guest writer) the content on mine !] if they are not that that way inclined :-

  • Use your blog to build your brand online
  • All top sports people, politicians, celebrities use blogs
  • Use your blog to promote your expertise
  • Use your blog to give relevant content to the world reinforcing your brand

Making use of the new technologies which includes blogging should be an integral part of any company’s ongoing marketing strategy; starting today – make it a part of yours. If you do not know what to do then, get help, ask, barter, negotiation : get in touch with me and we’ll see how we can help you on your way.

Bristol Marketing

As in all areas of the world no matter which city you happen to live in, you will need to have quality marketing in action within your business. This of course applies within the Bristol Marketing scene no matter what business you happen to be operating. When you choose to make use of a business marketing consultant then you will want to make sure that you make use of the very best talent that you can find to help you get to where you wish to be in as fast as time as possible.

There is a certain structure that is found in every large coporate where you will find the department of :-

  • Manufacturing
  • Logistics
  • Account
  • Human Resources
  • Finance

… and all of the other fundamental departments. You will notice that Marketing is missing from the list above yet when we take a closer look at many of the small businesses that are in operation – we see that they are in fact operating without a specific, defined marketing department. We also see that the person who has been given the task of running the marketing efforts is not actually a marketing professional in education or experience. With that said you will actually be leaving the direction of your business to chance which is the opposite to what the major corporations do when hiring the very best talent on an annual basis.

Living in the Bristol Bath region ? need to talk with a Marketing Business Strategy consultant ?? You would be well advised to get in touch with Stephen C Campbell who is available on demand, to see if you qualify for a no obligation strategy consultation session.

Feel free to get in touch and let’s see if we can work together.

Many of the small work from home business I consult with have little or no internet presence.  By that I mean; even if they do have a website – it may as well not be there as it receives little or no traffic; and in cases is not even indexed in any of the major search engines. Any traditional small business (whether you be a make up artist, woodworker, plumber, clockmaker or massage therapist) is leaving on the table by not building a long term business strategy (most do not have a strategy at all !) which includes using the internet in its appropriate marketing channel.

Building a strong foundation and presence on the internet will mean that you build your brand, it will open up the doors to customers and partnerships on a worldwide basis and lead the business to the path where it is generating revenue whether the owner is working or not.

One of the best and most effective things any small business can do is to start running and operating a blog as a part of the overall business strategy. This will include having the blog hosted on the company’s own servers (more on this in another post) and a long term plan regarding the posts that will be added in order to educated the world and build an online relationship with potential clients.

Another things that traditional businesses are not wary of is of the revenue that is generated annually from the sales of digital information products. The point here is that I am yet to come across anyh business which was not able to create a series of digital products (such as one I created for my own business here ) which can be sold over and over and over again.

To cater for the large need in the market place I ahev extended my standard consulting program to include the design and development of a full scale internet markey system, 1 month worth of four intensive 3 to 4 hour strategy sessions and then the continuation of driving traffic to the wesbite using tried and tested internet marketing strategies. We use these strategies to manage our portfolio of over 100 websites. If you like to know more, and have an interest in taking your business to the next level and connecting with people in your field the world over – please do get in touch.

I’ve made a post on Hub Pages giving some tips on how to use a blog to build your brand online. Essentially I have condensed hours and hours of consulting time down into a short article from which you can glean from and build on the content. Blogs are being used as serious Business Building and Brand Building tools and the sooner businesses and in particular small business start using blog as part of their overall business strategy the quicker they will build their online presence and see an improvement in their revenues.

As always, let me know what you think and if I can help you out in any way.

To your success,
