One of the areas that I always end up instructing clients in is that of Business Branding and in developing and communicating a core Value Proposition to the end user market place. As I continue to act as a Management Consultant working with companies from various industry sectors looking to devise and craft out go to market strategies. It is sometimes interesting to note some of the differences that I encounter when dealing with businesses that are based in London versus those who are [of course] not. I am based in the South West of the United Kingdom and travel to London for business often. London being at the centre of the economy of the United Kingdom and in fact dominating the world when it comes to certain markets – brings with it certain challenges.

For sure – whether you are operating you enterprise in London, New York or Tokyo you will need to ensure that you are operating according to a structured marketing and business plan. You Brand will of course be carefully defined and the message that you want to portray to the marketplace at large will be communicated through those marketing channels that you know your end user clients await. Very simple to state I know but quite another thing to actually do.

One of the things that advisable for the business owner is to look for as many niche marketing examples as possible and take from them, specific examples that can be used in ones own business. Carefully analyzing the end user market using specific market segmentation strategies and processes will mean that the business owner will end up with a clear picture of its ideal client and where the main focus of the organization needs to be.

When considering specific internet marketing niche strategies – this will include making use of the various technologies such as podcasting, video marketing, blogging and a whole host of other tools that can be made use of to build ones business and brand making use of the universal power and availability of the internet.

With that said, we should make note that it is critical at the outset to ensure that the core value proposition and theme of the company [whether they happen to sell books online] is developed and communicated to the end user market place. When all is said and done – no matter what type of business is being executed, it is critically important to get the business fundamentals in place as early as possible, when this is done any small work from home business can end up ‘looking like the largest corporate and capture significant amounts of market share in their target market.

When we look at various companies and businesses that are found throughout the world – many people go on and wonder what it takes for those companies to keep major market shares and keep their brands at the forefront of the end user customers. After analysis we can be sure that it is down to significant and quality sales and marketing strategies that are developed and executed that can account for the success of those businesses.

As every small business operating in the bustling economy of London from time to time needs outside help. It seems that it is difficult at time to find a professional management consultant able to go into a business and to help to cut through the clutter and to develop the plans and strategies that are necessary to help take the business to the next level.

There are various skills that are needed for this to happen including background depth of experience as well as an excellent academic record. Slogan or Tagline : Once you have the logo that you want, you can think of a slogan that will reinforce the message you are trying to communicate to the consumers. As long as you keep this part brief and straightforward, then this can be an effective branding tool for your business. This tagline will serve as an additional touch to the main message you are trying to give, thus giving you an edge over your competitors and highlighting the unique experience or service that consumers will be able to avail of.

One advantage that you can get with including a tagline is that it is not permanent, unlike the logo. Therefore, if your company wishes to employ a new marketing strategy, you can readily change your tagline to highlight this new marketing ploy. A tagline then opens up several opportunities to expand your marketing campaigns, as compared to the static nature of company logos because they are the ones more difficult to establish.

Colors and Images : As with logos, colors and images can be used to establish the identity of your business. Colors depict a corresponding set of emotions as well. Therefore, you need to carefully pick out exactly what type of color you are going to use in your logo in accordance with the image and personality of your business. Try to conduct a little bit of research about the different qualities of color types so you can determine exactly what best to use for your company.

Unique Services : When communicating your company brand into the market, highlight the services that only you can offer. If you can guarantee a service that none of your competition can, then you create an edge on your customers over the same businesses. Then, you can use that as a chief marketing strategy to draw more people into your business. An example of this would be a time guarantee on your delivery services, if you’re in the food business.

Learning how to effectively employ these business branding strategies will help boost your company’s campaign and be that much closer to your desired business success.
