It is essential if you are starting a new, home-based business that you plan every possible thing that could happen. Not only does this help you reach a goal for the future, it also helps if you are trying to get financing for your

home-based business. This important information is what makes up a home business model. And there are four basic components of each stage of building a business. A great business model can only be composed after the components of each stage have been identified.

The components of a home business model include the infrastructure. The core capabilities are capabilities and competencies necessary to execute a company’s business model. The partner network is the business alliances with complement other aspects of the business model and the value configuration, which is the rationale that makes a business mutually beneficial for a business as well as its customers. The offering of a home business model is the value proposition.

These are the products and services a business offers. In short, it is what the customer gets for what the customer pays. A customer can evaluate a company’s value on two broad dimensions with multiple subsets. The vendors marketing and sales efforts offer a customer value proposition. Next come the customers. You need to know who your target customers are, the target audience for your business products and services.

The distribution channel is the means, which a company delivers its goods and services to a customer. This could be through a simple means as the postal service or a major trucking company driving your products across country. Customer relationship is key in a business model.

On the internet – the term ‘Time Management’ is one of the terms which is searched for over and over again. Everyone is busy with business, life, family, commitment and everythings which life conjures up we either let things drop of we need to manage our time better than we do at present.

I have a busy life, my company provides Self Development coaching and training, we devise marketing strategies for companies, manage website design and development and the list goes on. I also have a very busy personal life and love to indulge in my passion playing jazz on the double bass.

All that takes time management and with that said I have recently put together an excellent resource (even if Isay so myself!) to help all with their time management. Too many people I know complain to me that they can’t get things they want to completed due to the lack of time and; I know that it’s all a matter of how we manage our time.

If you are running a home business part time, managing your own work from home business and/or just hoping to do more and be more – you need to work more on your time management!

What does your company mean or stand for ? when I ask this question – I don’t mean to you, I mean what does it mean to your current and future or potential customers.

The process of branding means that the spotlight is turned on us as the provider of the product or service whether we are a small or home business. There is a reason why consumers pay multiples of the base cost for water to buy certain brands of water, in terms of beverages consider Coke or Cola and the situation where an individual goes into a bar and asks for a Coke, the bar person replies ‘we only have pepsi and in nine times out of ten the customer nods their head and says ok.

The customer uses Coke as a generic term for any Cola drink. This can be used in contrast to when one goes to the corner store to purchase bread or milk both of which are considered and known as commodity purchases. When building the brand of our companies we must aim to be known as the ‘Coke’ of our industries. When we operate with this mindset this will ensure that the tactics which we work towards daily are based around building our brand to be the best in class in our market category.

Unfortunately the majority of small businesses and home businesses fail to work on this particular component of their business and marketing strategy – hope you find this useful. For more information on business and business strategies visit :- http://www.businessmansencyclopaedia.com/

Onto the final part of this thread :-

Some Internet aficionados prefer e-shopping on their own. In which case, your (secure) site could offer complete transparency when it comes to products and services offered. This might entail more time to create, and a lot of Internet marketing research. This gives your customers a sense of control by being able to cross reference information, packages and prices with other online business ventures like yours. You could also offer alternatives to your products that will link them to other trustworthy sites.

In other words, make your home business customer-friendly by offering assistance without seeming to.

A system for organization and technical aspects

Like any form of business, your home business should have market research and analysis. Knowing your target market is important; knowing what your target market wants at the moment is more important. Trends change. Your bookseller home business may be doing well with one title at the moment. Next thing you know, nobody wants it anymore.

Make sure that your company has devised a way for secure and reliable transactions that is not only convenient to you but also to your potential customers. Credit cards accounts for 90% of all purchases in online business ventures. If however, is of no service to you, there are other software and / or sites that may help you like Paypal or money order.

Budget permitting, aside from hiring the services of an Internet Marketing business, your management team should be well versed with Internet protocol. Designing, updating and upgrading a website is important; because this is the face your customers can see. Also, should technical difficulties arise, your team should be able to deal with it promptly. A down site means a loss of revenue for your company.

Now, onto part ii of this post on making e-commerce work for you in line with selling your books online with your home business.

If the budget for your online business is permissive, you may want to seek the aid or advice of an Internet marketing business. An Internet marketer or e-marketer can provide valuable information about market trends in the e-commerce world. If resources are tight, however, you can make e-commerce work for you by simply following these:

Customer Assistance Service

One way of getting a good objective look at your online business is to see or experience it through the eyes of your prospective market.

For example, your home business is a bookseller business; obviously, the first thing you have to promote is your book collections. You have to make sure that your working website has all the books that you offer. Updating your website about what new books have just come in and what items are out of stock will make your customers feel up-to-speed with new releases and wont be disappointed if ever they order the out-of-stock book.

This is a value-oriented service to your projected market. It shows that you are providing personal attention to your clients even though there is no face-to-face transaction.

If your website is interactive (with chat rooms, customer feedback, discussion boards, etc.,) then you can offer a responsive and user-friendly purchasing experience to your clients. You can also offer coupons, discounts and special offers to your customers as a way of enticing them back to your business.

In my coaching work I have found that so many people are fed up their jobs and are trying to break free. They are in essence trying to break the control that their jobs have over them. I help many people realize their dreams and they often start with a Home Business and today in my opinion their is not better way to get started than doing so using the power of the Internet. With that in mind I have put together a fantastic training program with one of my business partners, check it out here http://www.jobcontrolbreak.com/

So, Why You Do Want to Start a Home Business? Working from home is a big dream for many. But fear holds many of us back. Below I have listed a few reasons why starting a home business is a great idea.

Your Great Idea Comes to Life. You have a great business idea. This is the number one reason that most people go into business from home. Remember the kind of ideas that are good for a home business are ones that can become real quickly, and start bringing in an income almost immediately

You can do What You Love. Most people have something that they really love to do. Getting paid for doing what you love is a dream come true.

You get to be the boss. No more working your fingers to the bone for someone else. You will be the boss and you will reap the rewards.

Hope these reasons resonate with you, now I suggest you ‘Go For It’ and ‘Just Do It’, pop over to http://www.jobcontrolbreak.com/ and check out the training package there – I am quite pleased with what we have put together and I hope you get much out of it.
