This is the first of a two part post on the subject of Business Consulting with small businesses. You see, I speak with a lot of small business owner and am constantly suprised at how many of them try to do everything themselves, are generally resistant to change are typically not marketers and in most cases have never made use of an expert marketing consultant to help them to get where they want to get to, in as short as possible time – here goes …

It is a matter of course that businesses will continue to make use of the skills of strategic business and marketing consultants. We see this on a constant basis with the larger corporates filling in the gaps of knowledge and skills as a matter of course by hiring in professionals who are skilled in specific areas that are needed by the company at any given point in time.

When it comes to dealing with some of the smaller companies we see that it is not uncommon for those business owners being wary of hiring in business consultants, for many and varied reasons including the fact that they feel inadequate and not in charge of all of skills required to run their company.

We know that that is really the wrong view to take, and in actuality that view is really far from the truth. As mentioned above there are many very successful people in business who use business consultants to help them amongst other things to develop their niche marketing strategies. The thing about these specialists is that they can take a look at your business with an unbiased and impartial view. These specialist should be looked upon as an editor of a newspaper. When people write articles for the newspaper, often they cannot see the mistakes that they have made. The editor takes the article and fine tunes it to look and read the very best that it can.

The level of energy affects our life experiences with some people becoming more successful than others, all of this leads back to our mental programming and how we use our subconscious minds to move towards the life that we desire. To avoid getting stuck up in recurring pattern of life experiences and energy levels you need to find ways to break out of these set patterns to make your life more successful and meaningful. The method of strengthening our vibrational level helps us to break out of the recurring patterns in our lives. You can develop the laws of attraction in your life by three methods which are visualization, relaxation and emotional control.

These techniques need to be inculcated at the deepest levels to attract the things that we desire and push away the experiences that we do not want. These laws need to be understood properly and used effectively in order to achieve a strong personal success vibration. Though it sounds simple, the ability to visualize correctly and arriving at the correct level of relaxation is difficult.  Successful visualization requires monitoring and daily practice until it becomes a matter of course within our lives.

Diversity is not just a “Feel Good Issue” in fact it may be more of a correct statement to classify Diversity as “A Critical Business Issue” i.e. there is a compelling business case for diversity. Today’s customers have a choice in purchasing products and services and; with the internet enable world that choice is becoming more and more global on a daily basis. In fact, companies who want to be the winners in their market space and particularly those who want to be big winners, simply cannot afford to practice and conduct business with policies of exclusion in existence.

The companies who want to succeed are the ones who take Diversity beyond the Human Resources department and make it a part of the fabric of the everyday business transactions. These companies take Diversity to a level where they become role models to other companies in terms of inclusion as they welcome employees with different styles, different perspectives, different ideas, different passports, different accents and different skin colors into all levels of the business. These employees are welcomed and are used to make decisions, develop products, engage with customers as a matter of course based upon their skill set.

I’ll conlude this thread in the next post, as always do contact me to discuss or if you need my assistance with your Diversity Strategy.
