The visual and audio summary of the Business To Business Marketing and Branding seminar and consulting process that I follow may be viewed/listened to in the video below for those who prefer to take in information from an audio and visual perspective :-
For a quick rundown of the sections that we will go through should you employ me to conduct consulting/training in your organization is as follows :-
- Differences Between B2C & B2B Branding
- Branding Dimensions
- Branding Process
- Branding Pitfalls
- Case Studies
Reasoning behind the structure is to first give a grounding in the fundamentals of the topic, to look at some of the terminology and establish the overall framework and methodology for marketing and establish branding excellence to other organizations as opposed to the more common marketing and branding targeted to individual consumers.
It is important to make clear distinctions between the branding and marketing process in terms of the goal of selling products and services to other organizations. Whether your business to business marketing efforts are for the purpose of the partner company reselling your products as a component of their finished product [as part of an OEM business partnership] or; for the purpose of the partner organisation reselling or distributing your product – there are key fundamentals that need to be brought to mind and paid attention to if one organisation is going to be successful selling to another as the success of the selling company and the one selling to the end user are tied.
The Equity of the Brand is explored in the “Branding Dimensions” section and gives the marketer the fundamental business parameters on which to focus on in order to raise the equity of the brand in order to make the selling, marketing of the organization’s products and/or services run more smoothly.
The “Branding Process” section deals with some of the organizational complexities that need to be address if successful B2B Branding and Marketing ongoing campaigns are to be executed within the company. Ownership and management involvement is a key component that is addressed as this is one of the reasons why companies fail to make as much out of the B2B Products & Services as they otherwise could be if they do not adopt some of the structure and process management highlighted within this consulting process.
Finally we look at why some organizations fail in their B2B marketing and branding efforts by examining real life cases in order to extract the key learnings so we make sure that we do not make the same mistakes.
Do get in touch if you would like to discuss receiving some B2B branding and/or marketing consulting and training within your company.

The question that many small business owners as well as executives from some of the largest corporations in the world have asked and are asking is, ‘what about the internet’ ?? …
… My response is that the internet is to be viewed as a marketing channel for the corporation.
That is as a marketing channel to promote the company’s message through as well as using this particular channel to possibly deliver products and/or services to the end user client.
As many organisations are struggling to fully incorporate the internet into the core business strategies, I have devised the Internet Channel Marketing seminar which focusses on the main things that executives need to be aware of in order to go forward and develop their strategies with fully incorporating the internet.
I say that to mean that the internet should not be viewed as an ‘add on but as a key component of the corporate strategy, for this to happen of course, there will need to be certain changes to the organisation both in terms of structure as well as mindset.
If this topic is of interest to you – view the video above and – if I can help you by answering any of your questions, running a seminar, consulting or if you just fancy a chat !!! Feel free to get in touch.

Marketing training programs are essential to businesses given that marketing is the heart and soul of any organisation.
In addition to this, taking into consideration that we are living in tough economic times where there is a constant battle going on for the products and services of the organisation in question to get noticed by the end user customer.
With budgets being cut in all areas of businesses, executives realise that the amount of attention and focus that is put on marketing training programs has a direct bearing on product sales and revenue generation. Whilst executing the marketing training programs that I provide and working with company leaders and personnel directly we can see various trends within most organisations.
One trend is the danger of continuing to do what has always been done, this is where credit has to be given to managers who continue to make monies available for staff at all levels within the organisation to attend marketing seminars and workshops. Of course, it is important to make sure that the appropriate marketing training provider is chosen to be able to provide relevant perspective and challenging questions and comments to the attendees.
Indeed, it is the diversity of thought and perspective gained from paying attention not only to the industry in which we work but by also looking at works in other industries and applying specific principles to our organisation. This is where a skilled marketing trainer with a varied background, education and experience can be worth their weight in gold to any organisation and contribute to generating extra revenues and acquiring new customers and holding onto existing ones.
If your organisation is stalling or suffering from doing the same things over and over again, could it be that paying attention to existing marketing strategies and well as …

We as business people all know that we are living in a real world economic downturn which has lead to many corporations having to downsize their workforce in order to stay afloat. Some agree and many disagree with the various mergers and acquisitions that are taking place as
companies look to get into new market and to improve their offerings to the marketplace. With all of the variable that take place with running a business most agree that it is the Sales and Marketing function that is probably the most important part of the operation of the business unit in question. There are an abundance of examples that we can see in the business world where – the best product has not dominated the market place or; where the product and/or service that everyone acknowledges is not the market leader rises to command maximum market share.
In getting an organisation to deliver excellence when it comes to getting their message out to the world at large we are seeing an increasing trend where where marketing strategy consulting [the service I provide] is being employed more and more. Part of the benefit of using external consultants is that they do not have the baggage or history and political connection with the organisation they are working with. And as a consequence are able to look at the data objectively, develop the right strategy and put in the relevant execution steps.
Is the organisation that you are working in stuck ? or stagnant ? are your management team doing the same thing this year that was being done last year ? Is is time for some external marketing strategy consulting to get your business unit kick started ? Whatever the case, you are encourage to approach your markets as if you are going into it anew – by that I mean considering the questions :-
- Are we targetting the right customers
- Are we using the correct communication channels
- Are we using the most appropriate marketing channels to deliver the product/service
- Do we know what our end user clients think about us [have we asked]
- Is the internet being fully utilised as a marketing channel ?
These are some of the key questions that get buried, and lost in the day to day activities or any organisation and why using an external business strategy consultant may well be the thing that you should be strongly considering employing in your business.
Let me know if you have any comments.

I was priveleged to act as a resident Business Consultant at the latest BStartup show at Olympia which took place …
… on Thurs 26th anf Fri 27th November 2009.
I conducted Business Strategy Consultations for many businesses, however in particular we worked with www.InMarketingConsultancy.com who was ably represented by Rosamaria Reig.
The company works to assist Spanish based companies to conduct business in the UK and also those UK based organisations who need marketing expertise to be able to operate and sell in the Spanish market.
In my role as a broadcaster, the radio station provides a Business Consultation package which consists of an interview
with local business owners in addition to a private Strategy Consultation with myself.
With that said, here is an example on the type of [Advertorial] interview that you can expect from myself. Here I am interviewing Andrew Sparks MBA, who is seasoned Sales Professional expert in developing and executing Sales Processes. Andrew has developed sales teams skilled in selling high ticket items [thousands of pounds] Here is some of what we cover at the outset :-
- Different types of Sales People
- The Science Of Sales
- Importance of following a Sales Process
Andrew Sparks then goes on to outline the fact that Sales is about ‘two way communication’. He makes the point that sales conveys a specific message to the end use client via specific Marketing Channels. One imortant point raised is :-
- Client needs confidence, permission and option to let the company know what they think
Sales is about a transcation so that the customer willingly pays money for the product and/or service as during the sales process; the Sales Professional will have expertly conveyed the key Features and Benefits of the product to the end user. We cover quite a few points during the interview – some of the others are :-
- Positive Motivation
- Negative Motivation
- Length of time of the Sales Process
- Value Proposition of the Product/Service
Take a listen and as always, should you have any comments [if you wish to contact Andrew maybe ??] feel free to get in touch.
Best Business Success,

I worked with Lisa Porter of http://www.Armonioso.co.uk/ developing the complete messaging …
… and Business MarketingStrategy development – we covered development of appropriate Marketing Channels, Segmentaiton of the Market from both a Demographic and Psychographics perspective as well as working on which Category of the Marketing Lisa’s business would be operating in.
Some months after working on the business, I coached Lisa form a Self Development perspective as often, this is the part that is underdeveloped in many of us.
Business is at the centre and heart and centre of life in most of the developed world and some people view starting and promoting a successful business as an extension of themselves and; as a vehicle where they can go on and make a positive influence and difference in the world at large.
When we look at how business has developed over time we can see that we are in a highly competitve market place and we can also see that there are so many people who have decided to startup and work in their own; small work from home businesses. This within itself is such a great thing but with that comes many challenges which we shall touch on in this article.
As a Business Marketing Strategy Consultant – one of the things that I am faced with and see in my working life is the fact that the Small and Medium Enterprise Business Owners are in fact experts at their particular field. That may be Makeup, Woodworking, Car Mechanics, Medical and the list could go on and on. Now when it comes to developing a coherent Marketing Strategy – I liken it go one opening up a restaurant and hiring a specialist to prepare the food, to wait on the tables, to serve at the bar and all of the other necessary tasks that are necessary for the smooth functioning of the eating establishment.
You can go on to compare this with all that is needed in order to develop a Strategic Business [Internet based] Marketing Strategy from which to establish ones livelihood. Based on my experience in conducting business in over 25 countries throughout Europe, the U.S. and the Far East I know tend to focus on three main components i.e.
- Channels to Marketing
- Marketing Categories
- Marketing Segmentation
Before I start with anything though – I will work on developing the message that the client has to ‘say about themselves and of their product and service.
More than anything else, the small business owner is encouraged to seek out and to use the very best Business Marketing Strategy consultating services that they can; this will end up saving a lot of time not to mention the amount of monies that they will will end up not losing buy having spent the money up front on using a Strategic Consultant.
