I am often asked why I spend so much time teaching people about the Subconscious mind as well as focussing on Neuroscience as an integral part of the Self Development programs which I produce and lecture on.
This can of course be a very deep and technical subject and I intend to write a few posts on this subject. Our Subconscious Minds works day and night, 24 hours a day and is our obedient servant. It is now estimated that Our Subconscious is responsible for over 95% of how we act, walk, talk and percieve the world in which we live. To grasp this, just consider the gallons of blood which is now gushing throughout your veins and; the food which is being digested. All these so called automatic functions are being taken care of by your your Subconscious.
Thoughts of fear, lack, poverty, failure will be acted upon the Our Subconscious as thoughts of desire, abundance and achievement will. Our Subconscious takes instructions from our Conscious and so if we are constantly engaged in negative conversations, surround ourselves with ‘enery vampires’, people who moan and complain constantly then we end up acting upon the impulses which we give to ourselves.
In relation to Goal Setting our job is to pass to Our Subconscious  mind the exact picture of what we want to Be, Do and Have in our lives. Take a blank piece of paper and write our your Goals and Desires for say the Relationship and Financial areas of your life, write at least ten specific desires for each. Read them at least once a day, I recommend before you go to bed and upon rising.
Do this EVERYDAY for at least one week and see what difference it makes to your thoughts and actions, and let me know how you get on.
Remember if you cannot find time to stop and sit down and write out your Goals and Desires then I challenge you as to how serious you are about predicting your future by creating it. In closing I’d like to leave you with this oh so simple yet so deep statement (of which we will go into another time) of Ella Wheeler Wilcoxas she touches on Our Subconscious and the laws of the universe/Quantum Physics.
“You never can tell what a thought will do
In bringing you hate or love-
For thoughts are things, and their airy wings
Are swifter than carrier doves.
They follow the law of the universe-
Each thing creates its kind,
And they speed O’er the track to bring you back
Whatever went out from your mind.”
Yes, we become what we think about. Be careful what you feed your mind, turn of the television, listen to uplifting lectures, read books which take your life to the next level and make the effort to associate yourself with those people who can help you.
Comments alwyas welcome.
